Throughout the end of 2023 and beginning of 2024, I slowly released paintings created in my first 1.5 years of living in British Columbia. During most of that time, I patiently/impatiently waited to become a permanent resident of Canada, allowing me to sell original art again. That day has come, and what a marking of freedom it’s been. This collection is a glimpse into my personal / creative experiences through this transformative time. I hope these works somehow connect with your distinct experiences, too.

While this assortment of paintings are a visual pouring of the deep grief and great joys of my soul in that time, I still sit with the question: How could I ever encompass it all? And somehow, the creation of this collection became a response to such a question, as I simultaneously realized it is rhetorical.

Thank you for all your kindness and encouragement in the 1.5 years of patiently coming alongside me. It’s a sacred honor to know so many of you were waiting and praying, too.
