O Death, Where Is Your Sting? is an original 48x48 inch oil painting on archival quality stretched canvas.

I created this painting for the opening videos of a church's Good Friday and Easter Sunday services in 2023. I began the pieces working with a deep and moody color palette, with the process being captured on video to be shared during the Good Friday service. These initials layers were created as an expression of Jesus' blood-shed death on the cross, inviting us to more deeply grasp the weight of His wounds and boundless love.

Then I began working overtop those layers, eclipsing death for life. Gold hues wash over the old, and vibrant colors cover the darkness. Jesus is alive, and death lost its sting.

While this painting is currently stretched, it is too large to ship this way. If you purchase this painting and live in the Greater Vancouver area, I will happily personally deliver the painting to you. If you're not local, this piece will be shipped un-stretched and rolled in a sturdy tube. You can then take it to a local framer to have it re-stretched on 1.5in stretcher bars, with the option to frame it as well, if desired.
